Levi Update 18 Months

Over the last few weeks, Levi has transformed from a baby boy to a BOY!
We have noticed a big change at the 18month mark.  He is such a joy!
We have spent many nights outside playing & looking at Momma's new garden.
Levi loves to play with rocks, plants, and running in the backyard.

Levi happy to be outside! Video laughing below!

Yesterday we were watering the veggies and Levi had a big interest in the water!
Here are a few pictures and a video :)

Levi's language has really developed.  Ever since he was little, he would take a long time to say a word.  He wanted to make sure it was perfect before trying to say it.  The last few weeks Levi has started to repeat tons of words and he constantly babbles.  Both Levi's teacher and the school director say that Levi has really advanced comprehension.  He listens really well (most of the time!).  It is just a Joy to watch him grow.

Here is a list of words Levi says on a daily basis:
Momma, Dadda, Baby, Kitty, Gentle, Cookie, Turtle, Purple,
Bubble, Shoes, School, Go, Hi, Hello, Bye bye, Two, Diaper, Fishy, Pretzels, Bath, uh oh

Here is a video of Levi talking in the bath -  *Caution - Naked Boy Ahead!

Here is a video of Levi putting his toys away and putting his clothes in the hamper

Here is a video of Levi 'dancing"

Being Levi's Momma and Daddy is the best job in the world!
We love this little guy so much!

Garden

This year for my birthday I asked for a garden.  I asked for a small starter garden.
Of course, Brian decided to give me the garden of my dreams.  :)

My garden is so special to me.  I have very fond childhood memories being in my mom's garden. I can remember eating tomatoes right off the plant.  My godmother came to visit me for my birthday and she helped me plant the vegetables.  Having such a special person help with the process makes me so happy.  I walk out to my garden each day and think of my mom, my godmother, and then it spirals into all of the wonderful people in my life.  Sometimes I think of family or a friend and smile.  My garden is a place for me to think and feel the beautiful world around me.  Another great thing about having a garden, is that Levi now wants to play outside every night!  He loves running around the backyard while I look to see what has grown.  Levi squeals with laughter as daddy plays with a T-ball set.  Family time in the backyard is my favorite time of day.  I really hope the beautiful weather continues.  Below are some pictures of the process.  If anyone reads this and has veggie suggestions, please let me know :)

April 2013 Updates

Its been a few weeks since I have blogged and I have a lot to share!

Early April we had our London cousins visit.  It was a joy to have them in town.  We thoroughly enjoyed every moment.  Levi loved having the boys in town too!  It was such a lovely visit!

We miss our London Family!

A few weeks later it was Momma's birthday!
We took Levi to the children's museum & had a blast.

Happy Birthday Momma!

For Momma's Birthday, Momma & Daddy built a latch board for Levi.
We painted a board and attached latches, door knobs, light switches, anything we could find.  Levi LOVES it! (Thanks Pintrest!)

After Momma's Birthday, Auntie Momma came to visit us!
We had a blast!  We planted veggies, went to the poppyseed festival, and cooked yummy food!  It was an amazing weekend full of having my heart overfill with Love and my soul overflow with joy!

Round Top & Ice Cream!!!

This last week, we went to Momma's favorite place, Round Top Texas!
Twice a year this quiet town opens up to 100,000 people shopping for antiques and one of a kind finds.
Some items are old and vintage, and some items are awesome random finds.

My sweet sleepy boy!

We were in Round Top over Easter.
Here is Levi opening his Easter goodies.

While we were on vacation, we visited the Blue Bell Creamery.
It was Levi's first time to eat ice cream.

Here are a few Blue Bell Facts we learned:
  • 60,000 cows produce milk for 1 day of ice cream production
  • All milk is sourced from a 200 mile radius from the Brenham Blue Bell Factory
  • Blue Bell makes 53 different flavors (some are seasonal)
  • They can manufacture up to 18 flavors a day
  • The factory can produce 160 ice cream cones a minute
  • The factory employs 850 people
  • The factory is open Mon-Fri from 5am to 4pm.  Then they defrost & clean each piece which takes 2-4 hours each day.
