9 Months!

A few people have told me their favorite time in infants is 9 months.  I now get it!
Levi is at the best age!  He is developing such a sweet personality.

Recently he has started to show an opinion on things he likes.
(he did pick out his own shoes!)
This past weekend, we put away some of his baby items (swing, floor play mat).
We took Levi out shopping with us and we bought him something to stand and play with.
There were about 6 different brands of play toys.  They all looked very similar.
Levi could not stop playing with this one!  It was the one he wanted to take home.

Levi can crawl really fast now.  He can stand really good now too.
He uses the couch as a guide to walk around it.
He will take a few steps only holding 1 hand.
He has started to say "a-da" - not quite a first word yet, but we are making progress.
When I ask him to say Ma Ma, he just smiles and laughs at me ;)

Day Care

Today was Levi's 1st day of Day Care!  He now goes to Little Miracles Christian Pre-School.
He woke up today in an especially happy mood.  He must have had some good dreams!  We got dressed and were out of the house right on time.  Levi talked the whole way in the car.  Once we got to his room, the sight of new toys excited him!  He started playing right away!  Brian and I then left Levi to start his day!

When I picked Levi up today, he was napping in the crib.
I woke him up and we came home.  Levi seemed to be in a good mood.
Even though he seemed to have a good day at day care, he squealed with excitement when he saw his own toys.  He played until bedtime.

It was a good first day!

All ready to go!
Look at that sweet face!

It was a little bright!
Starting to play!

So many things to see!
And he's off!

Brooke!

This is a little post about our Sweet Nanny Brooke!

When you have your first baby you cannot imagine anyone watching him.  He is our precious little miracle baby. Once Brooke started watching him, she immediately became family.

Every day Brooke and Levi play all day! Throughout the day I can hear Levi laughing & I know it's because they are such good buddies!

Tomorrow Levi starts day care.
I know we will see Brooke on the weekends or date night,
but we will miss seeing her each day!

Life!

Life sure has been busy for us!
Levi was sick for a little over 3 weeks in June.  Since then he has grown and developed more than we could have imagined.  As soon as he started feeling better, he started to really crawl!  He then started to pull him self up.  He uses anything he can to stand up, the couch, mom's leg, a dining room chair, or a toy!  He is much more independent.  He can play by himself for hours now and it seems that he plays all day! It is playtime all day long!
It seems like overnight he became a little man.
Here are some video's and pictures of our life :)

We had our first big Texas Storm!
We lost power for 18 hours and it was an experience being in a dark hot house with a baby!
Here is a video of Brian and Levi checking out the rain!

Here are a few pictures and 2 videos of Levi playing.
Everything gets a taste test :)
Think this kids has enough toys?
Thanks Auntie Kim & Uncle Charles!

and talk to the cat outside!
Levi has recently started to sleep on his tummy!
We recently got Levi his first pair of shoes.  They had to be Stride Rites.  Growing up, I heard many stories about how my sister and I were always in Stride Rites.  My mom promised that one day she would buy my baby Stride Rites.  Now that Levi is walking, off to the Stride Rite store we went.  Out of all the options (maybe 20 pairs) Levi reached for a Grey & Orange pair three times.   It was the perfect pair for him!

8 Months!

We can't believe Levi is 8 months old today!

Not much has changed since his 7 month photos.  He was sick most of the month.  He started feeling better this past week.  Feeling really well on Thursday.  Friday we took him to the Dr. & he said his pneumonia is all gone!

Since Thursday Levi has learned how to use his hands to crawl!
He did a month's worth of growing in the last few days!
He also LOVES walking if you hold his little fingers.
Video's Below :)

Still Sick :(

Last weeks bronchiolitis turned into this weeks pneumonia.
Monday we saw the Dr. and everything was looking good.

Wednesday Levi got Hives! I thought it was because we introduced a new food, but the Dr confirmed it was because of the virus Levi was still trying to fight off.

Yesterday, Levi had a fever of 103.8, after seeing the Dr & a chest xray, we learned he has pneumonia.  Levi is now on antibiotics. :(
Below are a few pictures from the week.
Today Levi was much better and on his way to recovery.

Best part of the Dr.s - the Paper!
By the time we leave,
there is not much paper left!

Sick :(

This last week Levi has been sick.
It was his first fever & the first time he has been sick!
We went to the Dr's last Thursday and he has bronchiolitis.

Bronchiolitis is swelling and mucus buildup in the smallest air passages in the lungs.
Bronchiolitis is the commonest respiratory infection in young children up to three years of age. It is commonly caused by respiratory syncytial virus. Children with bronchiolitis have a cough, fast and difficult breathing, nasal congestion, fever and wheezing.

We had a follow up visit today and Levi's lungs are much better!
The doctor said the wheezing is almost gone.

Here are some pictures of our week.

At the Dr's - Levi loves paper!
He will tear it up to almost nothing!!
And he love to eat paper!
Oh how it tastes good!!
